Most recent changes:

In March 2005 I was contacted by a woman from Wyoming who was interested in the idea of trying to bridge the Christian and the Ascension perspective. As you may have read I was rather sceptic at the idea (see Acceptance of Christ? and Biblical Terminology), but I was willing to give it a try.

This section presents you the road we have traveled together during this endeavour. We intended to work very carefully and we would like to emphasize that we do not intend to say one perspective is better or worse than the other. Everyone is free to stick to whatever feels more comfortable to them. The objective of this project is to present differences and similarities between the two perspectives and to find some common ground.

Since I was not really raised in a biblical christian fashion Akasha is the expert on that field and I try to be the 'expert' on the ascension perspective, at least as far as I we are able to be experts in these fields. What makes the journey more promising is that Akasha is also quite familiar with the work of Mila (SSoA) and I did read a number of biblical books in the past. This allows us to speak to each other in terminology we both understand.

During these attempts to bridge the christian perspective with the (SSoA)Ascension Perspective we will try to break the topics into small chunks which will be listed at the bottom of this page, and as soon as we have gathered enough topics a list-box will appear at the top of this page. For people who are able to read Dutch, more information on the comparisons between Christian and Ascension perspectives can be read at Vergelijkingen.

Here's a small introduction of the co-author of this project:

Chela Akasha Andemuneodwe (pronounced /An-day-moon-knee-odd-way/) walks her path with input from many spiritual traditional including Buddhism, the Yoruba practices of Nigeria, the practices of the Eastern Shoshone and North Arapahoe peoples of the Americas, Hinduism, Christianity and New Age philosophies. She is a shamanic healer, a Reiki practitioner, one who wildcrafts flower and earth essences and an emotional and spiritual counselor. She is also a licensed preacher within the Christian church. She is an attorney and African- American and lives with her son and partner in the United States.
